Ethiopia Hospice Care (EHC) is a newly established nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization in the United States, dedicated to advancing hospice and palliative care in Ethiopia. Guided by a highly dedicated Board of Directors—many of whom were inspired by and have worked alongside both Hospice Ethiopia and Hospice Ethiopia UK for many years—EHC brings deep experience and passion to this mission.

EHC’s mission is to “raise awareness and gather resources to ensure that everyone in Ethiopia has access to compassionate hospice and palliative care. We aim to inspire kindness and generosity, helping those nearing the end of their lives receive the care and dignity they deserve.”

We envision a future where every person in Ethiopia has access to compassionate palliative and hospice care. Through education, advocacy, and community engagement, EHC strives to create a culture of compassion that uplifts patients, families, and communities.

EHC is honored to work closely with Hospice Ethiopia and Hospice Ethiopia UK, as we believe collaboration is a critical component of our success. The Board is especially grateful for the support of Sue and Dr. Jamie Mumford at Hospice Ethiopia UK, and Dr. Ephrem Abathun, Executive Director at Hospice Ethiopia, whose commitment and generosity have been instrumental in launching this nonprofit and advancing its early work.
