We are a dedicated group of individuals from diverse backgrounds—including palliative care, non-profit leadership, fundraising, healthcare, technical support, and administration that have come together to spark a movement within the United States to help pioneer essential hospice and palliative care services in Ethiopia.

Upon traveling to Ethiopia many years ago, many of our board members became inspired and connected to the compassionate work they saw at Hospice Ethiopia, the first NGO in Ethiopia providing hospice and palliative care services in the country. As a result, our board decided it would be an important step to launch this non-profit within the United States to continue to encourage and grow the mission and vision at both Hospice Ethiopia and other’s in the country that are taking up the mission of providing these critically need services.

We also want to recognize the partnership at Hospice Ethiopia UK and as their leadership and friendship over the years has inspired our vision to start this non-profit in the United States.

Inspired by the same spirit that launched hospice care in the United States in 1974, this team is united by a shared belief: that every person, regardless of geography or circumstance, deserves compassionate care at the end of life. Together, we envision a future where access to palliative and hospice care is a reality for all Ethiopians, bringing comfort, dignity, and
hope to those in their most vulnerable moments.
